On SAMVA discussion list on 4th November, 2007, it was predicted that the stationary influence of transit RAHU and KETU on the natal SUN of President Pervez Musharraf in the summer of 2008 would be difficult for him. On August 18, 2008, under threat of impeachment proceedings by the Parliament, Pervez Musharraf resigned as President of Pakistan.

"Should Pervez Musharraf survive the present challenge until the middle of this month [author's insert: November 2007], it is likely his position will begin to incrementally improve. Should he manage to cling to power until mid January 2008, he would then be expected to consolidate his power and remain head of state for some more time. However, the present transits are quite difficult and it is also interesting that his Sun will be burdened with a nodal station at 24° 30' Cancer during the middle of 2008. So, even then, he is likely to be confronted with another crisis."Source
